DNS Settings

When sending your website live with IRM you may need to change the DNS settings for your domain name so then the domain name will point to your website instance in IRM server. This is your internet address, for example irmhelpcentre.com is the domain name for this help centre website.

You need to have technical knowledge to set this up, as there might be some service disruptions if its not set up properly. Here are some brief explanation about DNS settings you need to adjust.

A Record
Change the A Record in the DNS for the Apex domain (e.g. irmau.com) to the IP address

To get the www subdomain working you will need to add or modify the CNAME record.
This needs to be set to the following: IRMLiveLB-71520702.ap-southeast-2.elb.amazonaws.com

Here is an example of A Record and CNAME settings:

Domain Record Type Value
sample.com A
www.sample.com CNAME IRMLiveLB-71520702.ap-southeast-2.elb.amazonaws.com
