Moving a page within the navigation of website

Move Pages Within Website Navigation Using HQi Content Manager

There are two ways that allow you to move a page position within your website's navigation.

1. Click "HQi Content Manager"

From the "HQi Content Manager" section of the HQi menu, select "Add/Edit Pages".

Click 'HQi Content Manager'

2. Click "Add / Edit Pages"

Click "Add / Edit Pages" to access the section for modifying existing pages or adding new ones within your site navigation.
Click 'Add / Edit Pages'

3. Click here

The first uses the grey arrows to the right of the page name.

To move a page up or down, use the arrow buttons on the right-hand side of the item.

Alternatively, you can use the drag-and-drop feature to change the location of pages.

From "HQi Content Manager", choose "Add/Edit Pages" on the menu.

5. Drag-and-drop the page

From the "Add/Edit Pages" page, hold your mouse within the grey lines of the page that you desire to move, then drag to the position where you want the page to go.

In this example, we are moving the "Flat With ExtraID" page to sit underneath the "Image Gallery With ExtraID" page; you will see how the lines overlap when you are dragging a page to a new position.

Once you have dragged the page to its new position, release the mouse. The below message will appear while the page position is being changed.

Once this message disappears, the page will have changed position within the table. See screen below.

The page will have also changed position on the website.

6. Moving Pages with Sub Navigation

Moving pages that have sub-pages works exactly the same way as moving an individual page.

1. From the "HQi Content Manager" section of HQi, click the "Add/Edit Pages" option on the left-hand navigation menu.

2. From the "Add/Edit Page" page, left-click the mouse and hold within the grey lines of the page that you wish to move and then drag to the position where you would like the page to go.

In this example, we are moving Page A and the two sub-pages to sit below Page D. You will see how the lines overlap when you are dragging a page to a new position.

When moving pages with sub-pages, only the parent page (main navigation) will look like it is being moved until after you have released the mouse, then the sub-pages will have also moved.

Once this message disappears, the pages will have changed positions.

You will notice that the parent page and sub-pages have also changed positions on the website.
