This segment of our Gutenberg WordPress tutorial will delve into embedding content. By default, the WordPress block editor supports various media types from different services.
Here are some examples of dedicated blocks for embedding content:
- Videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, TED, and TikTok.
- Images from Flickr, Imgur, Instagram, and Pinterest.
- Posts from Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit.
- Audio files from Spotify, SoundCloud, and Mixcloud.
- Documents from Scribd and Issuu.
- Polls and surveys from Crowdisgnal.

Follow these steps to embed media:
This tutorial explains how to embed media into your content using the embedding feature
1. Introduction
You will learn to locate the embed options, enter a media URL, and complete the embedding process efficiently.
2. Selecting the Section Where to Insert the Media
Click the part where you want to insert the embedded media.
3. Access Block Options for Embedding
Click the embedding options to proceed with adding media.
4. Initiate Search Function
Click “Search” to find embedding features.
5. Enter Embed Keyword
Enter the keyword related to embedding to locate the correct option.
6. Select Embed Feature
Click “Embed” to choose the media embedding feature.
7. Choose Embed URL Option
Click “Embed URL” to specify embedding via a web link.
8. Confirm Embed URL Selection
Click “Embed URL” again to confirm your choice for embedding by URL.
9. Input Media URL
Enter the URL of the media you want to embed, such as a YouTube video link.
10. Confirm Embedding Action
Click “Embed” to insert the media using the provided URL.
11. Complete Embedding Process
Click to finalize and complete the media embedding task.
You have successfully embedded media by selecting the embed feature, entering the media URL, and confirming the action. This process allows you to add external media content seamlessly.
