Uploading Media Files in WordPress

This tutorial will guide you on how to upload media files in WordPress.

1. Navigate to Media Section

Access the Media Library: In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Media and then Library.

2. Open Add Media File Interface

Click on the Add Media File. You can either drag and drop files directly into the upload area or click the Select Files button to choose files from your computer.

3. Select Files to Upload

Click the Select Files button to open your file browser and choose the document you want to upload. The maximum upload file size is 256 MB.

Supported Formats: WordPress supports various file types, including JPEG, PNG, GIF for images, MP4, MOV for videos, and PDF, DOCX for documents.

After selecting your file, wait for the upload to finish before leaving the page. You’ll see a progress bar showing when it’s complete. Once uploaded, make sure the file appears in the Media Library.

You have successfully uploaded your media file to WordPress. The document is now ready to be linked or displayed on your website.
