Registering Your X Account with IRM Newsroom

X is one of the distribution channels set up in Newsroom to post your announcements via social media. All you need to do is connect your X account to Newsroom for a seamless process, as detailed in the instructions below.

1. Open Settings Menu

To register your X account with IRM Newsroom, navigate to the “Settings” option under the “IRM Newsroom” module in HQi.

2. Click login with X buttons

On the right-hand side you will see the below options: To register your X account please select “LOG IN WITH X (AUTH 1.0A) AND LOG IN WITH X (AUTH 2.0)” under the X logo. One is to enable image posts (LOG IN WITH X (AUTH 1.0A)) the other one is to allow text posts. LOG IN WITH X (AUTH 2.0) Note: We would like to bring to your attention an important update regarding X’s recent policy change. X has made adjustments to its token expiry time, reducing it from 90 days to 2 hours. This means that our app users will now have to log in to their X account more frequently to post content.

3. Switch to Authorization Page

Next, you will be asked to log into your X account via the following screen. Enter your details and select the “Authorise app” button to continue.

4. Registered X

After logging in successfully, you will see the following screen. Notice that the red cross under the X logo has turned into a green check mark.

5. Open Distribution Channels

To enable Facebook, X, and Linkedin on Newsroom Distribution Channels, follow the steps below: Under “IRM Newsroom,” tap the “Distribution Channels” tab from the HQi menu.

6. Select ASX Periodic Channel

Click “ASX Periodic” to configure settings specific to the ASX periodic distribution channel.

7. Close ASX Channel Settings

Using the “Website”, “Email”, “Facebook”, “LinkedIn” and “X” tabs, you’ll be able to select which channel you would like to change the settings for. Facebook, LinkedIn and X: Here you can toggle between sharing the announcement to the various social media networks. You can tick the button next to “Yes” or “No” for each of the social networks on each of their specific tabs.

8. Confirm Changes

Click “Yes” to confirm any changes made to the distribution channel settings.

9. Save Configuration

To save changes, hit the “Save” button. To check the approval process and where you have appointed each of your announcements to be released, you can return to the “Distribution Channels” main page.

You have successfully registered your X account and managed distribution channels within HQi. Your settings are now saved, enabling streamlined authentication and content distribution workflows.
